Codominant Stems

 

A single stem forms codominant leaders which resulted with a crack.  You can see the crack which resulted [Blue Arrows]

 

 

 

 

 

 


You can see that this single trunk (orange arrow) formed two distinctive codominant leaders.  They are both competing for size and sunlight.  This particular sample has had included bark where the leaders divide and a crack has developed.  Picture above.
