Flowers -
Flowers are showy organs that contain reproductive
parts. Some people may dispute this, because of so - called weed flowers,
but when you look closely at so - called weed flowers you will see they are
very beautiful. The problem is that very few people ever take time to
look closely at anything in nature, especially at so - called weed flowers.
Flowers have showy petals, and in some cases showy bracts. The Dogwood is
the best - known flower that has showy bracts. Flowers in all colors, and
the colors attract many insects that bring the pollen to the flowers.
Some flowers have only male parts while others have only female parts.
Some flowers have both male and female parts. (SHIGO, 2002 CD's).
